Giovanna D'Alessio, MCC
2008 Secretary/ Treasurer

An MBA in Communication Sciences, Giovanna founded and managed her own advertising agency for five years. She then spent seven years at Saatchi & Saatchi as Account Director and Responsible of Saatchi’s Internet Unit. From 1998 to May 2000, she was responsible for the Italian start-up of Yahoo! Inc. She then moved to London (Yahoo! Europe Headquarters) as European Marketing Director.

Since 2001, she reoriented her life around coaching. She did her coach training at Coach U Inc. (USA) and founded her coaching company (www.lifecoachlab.com). She mainly coaches CEOs and executives in the areas of personal and organizational transformation, leadership, people management, personal effectiveness, and life balance. She loves to help corporations to make cultural transformations and implement a coaching mindset. Among the major clients of her company: Nokia, McKinsey & Company, American Express, Solvay, IBM.COM, Citigroup, Axa, Boeing.

In April 2002, Giovanna founded Federazione Italiana Coach, Chartered Chapter of ICF where she has been elected President for a two-year period.

Giovanna got her MCC certification from ICF in December 2005. Giovanna was a member of the Board of Directors of the ICF (2004) and has been elected Vice President for the year 2005. She served in the Finance Committee in 2008 before being elected Secretary/Treasurer.

She is also the author of the book “Come dire no ed essere ancora più apprezzati” (How to say no and still be appreciated), published in 2003 by Sperling & Kupfer – Italy.
